Shallow water seismic surface waves for harbour development
For the extension of the Longoni port, a campaign of marine seismic refraction and surface wave has been performed in order to identify and quantify the contact between the geological units of clay and sand.
These two formations had different uses within the framework of the port development project, and it was important to obtain a quantitative element making it possible to precise the estimation of volumes at this stage of the project.
The depth investigation including the dredging project was about 20 meters below the seabed.
About 4 km of measurements have been acquired.
- Offshore seismic refraction (MSR)
- Offshore seismic surface wave (UMASW).
- Static (equipment laid on the seabed)
- Dredging
- Harbour extension
