Land surface waves (MASW and MicroTremor) applied to cavities detections


For the maintenance of the railways in a railway station, with a risk of underground quarries, gypsum dissolution, a seismic campaign has been performed.
Processing and analysis have been conducted using MASW and DCOS.
DCOS analysis is a processing developed and patented by SismOcean to detect and localize every kind of geological anomalies (voids, karts, break of layer horizontality, outcrop …) using the properties of propagation of the surface wave.
Comparison with geotechnical data
About 8 km of measurements have been acquired and processed
