Land and aquatic seismic refraction for dam monitoring

In order to control the embankment of a dam, a seismic refraction and surface wave campaign in active (sledgehammer) and Passive seismic acquisition was carried out. The objective was to determine the position of the bedrock and characterize its state of alteration. The geophysics campaign has been used to identify the location of the control drilling.

  • Onshore seismic refraction
  • Onshore seismic surface wave (MASW)
  • Active (sledgehammer) and passive acquisition (Microtremor)
  • Dam embankment monitoring
